Sotheby’s
Sotheby's is the world’s oldest international auction house in continuous operation. It was founded in London, England on 11 March 1744 when Samuel Baker presided over the disposal of “several hundred scarce and valuable” books from the library of a certain Rt. Hon. Sir John Stanley. Today, the firm has an annual turnover of approximately US$2bn, and offices on London’s New Bond Street and Manhattan’s York Avenue. This dominant position has been achieved through natural growth, acquisitions (most notably the 1964 purchase of the United States’ largest auctioneer of fine art, Parke-Bernet), and smart management during the cyclical “art recessions” of the past century. The company was purchased in 1983 by US millionaire A. Alfred Taubman, who took it public in 1998.

Hart Davis Hart Wine Co.
Hart Davis Hart is one of the most trusted sources for fine and rare wines. Offering wines of impeccable provenance from private cellars around the world, their team of experts will provide you with the highest level of personal assistance and consultation. It is the ideal venue to buy or sell fine wine, combining live wine auctions with a state of the art wine retail system. Hart Davis Hart was founded in October of 2004 and represents the convergence of three highly respected veterans in the rare wine business: John Hart, Michael Davis and Paul Hart, making their collective experience in the field both extensive and unique.

Christie’s
Christie’s is a world-famous auction house. It was founded in London, England on 5 December 1766 by James Christie. Christie’s soon established a reputation as a leading auction house, and took advantage of London’s new found status as the major centre of the international art trade after the French Revolution. Christie’s was a public company, listed on the London Stock Exchange from 1973 to 1999, when it was taken into private ownership by Frenchman François Pinault. Christie’s is currently the world’s largest auction house measured by revenues.
